It's not that you shouldn't use Jessi. It's some (most) of the shaders that were made for firefly don't turn out well in superfly. One issue is over shininess. Superfly handles shine differently. If the shader had both the specular color and the alternate specular used, it's too much for superfly. The eyes weren't glowing so much as reflecting the light. Specular is what is used to control the shine or glossiness of an object. The darker the color of the color chip for those will tell how strong the effect is. The specular color also has a value under it you can set. Lower numbers meaning less.

And just an FYI for future posts, include screenshots of shaders and which render engine you're using to give us more information to help you with.
