The main camera by default rotates around the centre of the scene. It just happens that Andy stands at the centre and most figures when loaded will also start at the centre (their x,,y and z transitions set to zero). The pose camera of course rotates around the centre of the selected figure.

Using the main camera, at the top right of the preview window you will find some buttons after the render buttons (the cameras). The first one has brackets, and when you select this it moves the camera to view the selected object- ignore this, the second button when you select it causes the camera to rotate around the selected object. Try selecting the ring now and see if the camera rotates as you want.

If it doesn't a quick fix is to load a prop such as the ball from the primitives and move this to the middle of the ring and make it invisible. Now when you want to rotate the camera select the invisible ball and it will rotate around this provided you have the second button selected.

Well, that's how I would do it, but I've only been using poser for 3 years and so only know about 10% of it!

If you post your problems as new threads in the new poser users section of the forum you might get more help, the Rendo notification system only tells you when you are the last person to post, so I only noticed this because I was last poster before you on this thread.
