There used to be an extension to Poser called PBooost, by (I think) Hogsoft. It could be used for collecting references to various Poser files. I have no idea if it's still available, or even if it works with later versions of Poser. It was originally created to allow older versions to have multiple Runtimes, as well as optimizing files and organizing things.

It has been discontinued by the developer. I think P3dO is the best.
