If @Male_M3dia has finished derailing the thread, I'd like to say that yes, I too would be happy to purchase certain items if Poser versions were made available. I have no interest in ever going back to D|S.
It's not derailing if it's the truth. It's been seven months, I believe you already had your answer. There's no money in DS vendors converting items to poser, including some features that don't exist in poser that wouldn't convert like instancing.
I would also stay away from personal attacks in your posts, the TOS here doesn't allow it.
Hardly a personal attack, no the personal attacks all happened up above before I ever posted (and yes I know it did go a bit both ways). I still feel all of that did derail the initial intention of this thread, some users wanting to say hey we are still interested in content too, and we have our eyes on some items you made for D|S.
Sorry, it was. In the future, you can say what you need to say without referencing my name with your opinion of what you think I'm doing just because you don't like what I posted.
Still you can be interested in something, but it doesn't mean 1) DS vendors are going to pay $200 for Poser software and spend months learning it just to make a $13 item with a 50% cut with the store for 5-10 people, if that. And that's generally what these requests get if they're not rooted actual sales data. Do the math; for that amount, did they recoup the $200 investment? Understand things come with a cost; so a vendor has to factor that in.
And if a Poser vendor switches to making only DS items, that should already tell you the money was no longer there to make the Poser item. Only a shift in how Smith Micro deals with vendors is going to bring more poser (or working to get that item into Poser via their software); not vendors stopping what they're doing to convert items when they could make another DS item. It is what is is, with the way the market has shifted in the last few years.
