I use the content library exclusively, I really don't like smart content. Most of the items sold on Rendo will not show up under smart content, you can make the database entries for them if you desire, I find it a complete waste of time myself, others of course disagree. To each their own. The nice thing about DAZ Studio though is it allows you to arrange your content library anyway you want it. As it gets bigger that's a big help, you can move characters and clothes around into catagories where you can find them again easily. You can do that to the Poser side of the house also, for example you can put the clothes, textures, and for the clothes if any in the same place and not have to go searching through characters then props then Poses to find them all. Same thing with hair and textures, etc.

I was the other way around. I started using both DAZ and Poser at the same time (in 2010). I found DAZ Studio much easier to learn than Poser which is why I stopped using it..
