The announcement stated 'This is going to go for several different forums as it fits different styles and media. Draw, paint, 3d, Photoshop ... it's all good for this challenge. Some will be presented in specific forums for that software or medium.'

Perhaps the confusion is that she didn't specifically mention every media that is appropriate for the challenge. I assure you that DS users are welcome to participate and I will ask Boni if she could edit the announcement to clear up any confusion.
