I wonder if it's a database problem? I think Daz uses PostgresSQL database to keep track of content. I'm not very deep into Daz's internal configuration, but a database problem could cause a lot of trouble. Also, when doing any sort of uninstall to reinstall, you want to delete all the extra temp and app data files. Otherwise you're not getting a fully clean reinstall. On Windows, you might even take a stroll through your registry to get rid of leftover keys. It's a hassle!
