Glad it helped Robyn there are many who are doing 2.8 stuff another I would recommend in small doses is Jayanam on Youtube he has done many 2.8 tutorials recently I say in small doses because his voice can put me to sleep sometimes 
plus he also does some python programming in Blender which if not mistaken you were looking into at one time
