NLA clips are brilliant, I downloaded some free 3Drenderpeople

and found them impossible to tpose in iClone 3D exchange but in Carrara I just created animation groups and turned all their animations into NLA clips isolating heads by unticking and loaded the posed unanimated ones and did the same lo and behold I can swap them all out between each other which I could not do in iClone as it whined were not the same mesh.

A good tip, thanks. I mostly use the aniMate Carrara aniBlock Importer, plus some from PoserMocap and the old Eclipse Studio. All converted to NLA clips so they can be sequenced easily.
