Welcome to the Poser Forums! Need help with these versions, advice on upgrading? Etc...you've arrived at the right place!

I assume you are referring to the bright, light seams (not scenes) on the inner vertical and horizontal corners of the backdrop? If that is the case, enter the material room and blacken the specular_color chip and turn the Specular_value to 0 on the PoserSurface. Also, uncheck both Reflection_Lite_Mult and Reflection_Kd_Mult.
There is definitely a big learning curve in poser 11. Something to remember, firefly shaders often needed special tricks to get things slightly glossy. Superfly doesn't need those tricks so if you use firefly shaders with superfly, you need to reduce or remove them or they will look overdone. The construct will keep more light in the scene than if you didn't use any kind of environment sphere before. I also think the default lights are different than older versions, but I could be wrong about that. I don't remember when they were updated.

I use Poser 13 and win 10
They're definitely a different default light set then was in Poser 10. I will be replacing them with something else a soon as I know what set I prefer. I wish Poser 11 had a set off light especially for Superfly available.
I assume that if I hide the guides that the construct will still interact with the lights even though it's not visible in the scene. Is that correct?

I like to use the studio primitive that came with earlier versions of Poser as well as Cycloramas. When I've tired to use the Studio, whether it be a Superfly or Firefly render I get noticeable scenes--and it doesn't seem dependent of the types of lights used. How can I get rid of these artifacts? I appreciate any help you can give. I would have to reinstall Poser 10 so I can use some of my old favorite content without problems.
