Also, Poser does have Cycles, albeit a slightly watered down version of it. And Richard 60, to answer your question, I had figures, like Dawn, come out black using Superfly, so I don't get your question. I made changes to the nodes and textures and got the render. It's not like Superfly did it for me.

But for the most part, SuperFly is compatible with existing textures. Compared to 3rd party renderers like Lux and Octane where you have to change most materials. Which is how I can image pure Cycles would be if it were used instead.
