You're not the only one Boni. A lot of folks who have complained about the 2.7x UI are now finding it much easier to use with 2.8, and getting more folks to use it, and not be afraid of it, is definitely a good thing.

As far as my being comfortable with the 2.79 UI, I've sort of "grown" with Blender as it developed over the years. The old 2.4x UI was practically nonexistent. How I muddled through with it is a mystery to me now, but I liked what I could get accomplished compared to a lot of other modeling apps I had tried back then, so I stuck with it.

Anyway, welcome to the wonderful world of Blender. I don't know if you ever visit HiveWire, but I have a long post with tutorials, forums, and other Blender related stuff I've compiled over the past few years. That reminds me, I need to update it with some of the 2.8 goodies I've come across here thanks to Lobo and others.
