Subject: Sigh- Not again! Another Flash issue on a MAC...

I'm getting really fed up now. Yet another issue to have to fight with. This time it's Flash. Just updated to the latest version and what do you know? Poser's library list has stopped working. It's bad enough having to put up with constant reminders of how the next OS will stop my P10 32 bit version running along with Photoshop Elements and other older software I'm using. It's pants being on a really tight budget at times.. Anyway, before I junk the MAC and go back to my old Windows laptop does anyone have any ideas on how to solve the problem? Here's a screenshot of what the message is I'm getting. All was working fine until I did the Flash upgrade.

I'll try to reverse the Flash upgrade until I hear anything! (Bet I'll be the one who treads in the dog poo on the way to the pub tonight!) ?

It's not quite fair to blame Poser for a flash upgrade...but it's happened to me too. My Send in the Clones Pro doesn't work with Poser 11 and I had to seek other remedies as it seems former Poser vendors act as if they never heard of this Poser Program. One even told me he doesn't have Poser on his system. Fine. Fugazi's system seems an adequate replacement for my issue but let's see about your problem.

I am not on the update team so I can only suggest they act on a problem that will become unsupported by chrome at the very least in 2020. But first possible workaround. Would a rollback to the previous version of Flash solve your issues? It's not the jiffy response from Adobe you were hoping for but you know the Poser world is in flux right now thanks to the takeover by Rendo (Thanks Renderosity! Whew!).

P.S. I'm on a tight budget too. Hope the below helps.

Revert back to previous flash version for MAC OS X

Hi quietrob, yeah, I wasn't really blaming Poser, more the Mac OS. It did turn out to be the latest Flash update. i've rolled back to the version I had before and all is well. It just gets frustrating not knowing if one of my favourite programs is going to work each time I load it up. Male it is time to splash out and upgrade to a windows PC with P11 Pro..

(please tell me the current dev team dumps Adobe AIR like a bad habit...)

You're likely gonna have to stay with your current version for now, unfortunately. Just gonna have to be careful online with that particular box...

Adobe announced in 2017 they would be discontinuing Flash in 2020.

Poser 11 switched to HTML5 for the library and no longer requires Flash or Adobe Air.

I have Mojave on my iMac (2015) and will not be upgrading the OS; several of my favourite apps are 32bit. Your best bet is to go for Poser 11 which does not need Flash, on your Mac. It's also running on my old laptop with El Capitan.

One of the joys of working with an older OS (Mine's 10.10) is that Adobe wont even try to install that.

Well, if my IMac (2015) beaks down, I still have Poser 7 on my G5 (2005) ... and even Poser 4 on my PowerMac 7300 ... ( 1997) all still working.
