I'm not sure this is the right thread to mention this, but the mail that comes with a link to update to 11.2 takes you to PoserSoftware.com/downloads. Unfortunately, the file in the Mac section for Poser is, at the time of writing, version 11.1.5 not 11.2.
It is of course the future here in Japan, being 13 hours plus ahead of the US depending on which time zone you take.
Again, as Poser users are spread across the globe, it would be useful for consumers/users/community to know what time frame is being used when stating a download will be available on the 19th, e.g., such as, GMT. Could this be passed on to the Marketing Department as delicately as possible?
For information, on a Macintosh using Mojave 10.14.6, the bondware beta 11.2 doesn't ask to uninstall any existing Poser Pro 11.
Moreover, it picks up existing license keys of its own accord when being installed.
Curious as to why the Gold Release deems it necessary to do an uninstall as any earlier version used a different license server for verification/authentication — something that was a one off, and the new server being a driver for the current release.
You seem to be implying 11.2 needs to verify every time it opens which would make working off-line impossible.
If, on the other hand, it doesn't have to verify each and every time it is opened, then why would it need to do an un-install of existing software that has been paid for and used successfully for some time?
Preferences and other such items are, moreover, kept in separate system folders so there is no conflict there either.
Sincerely, Paul
