Also check if that .psd has a layer mask. I find that, when I render over a background image, it renders correctly but the .psd is saved with a mask on the entire background, I have to switch the mask off to see it.
Thank you, Ohki. I didn't know that Poser could extract a PSD as it's output. I always use PNG or TIFF or JPG when I am posting to the forum.
I tend to use png, but when I do that, it deletes all the background information from the image. As I've stopped using an EnvSphere and have been using a HDRI mapped to the background instead, sometimes I need to actually use what appears of it in my scene, so I have to save in psd so I can just switch the mask off and the image is there.
So do you render your background, save it as HDRI, Map it to the background (It fits?) and then render it with your main subjects? I have a feeling that render times aren't always additive. I hope I'm understood.
