Many thanks for your replies.Before I buy any new graphic cards what I do not understand is my present card is a Quad core linked to two dual core computers for rendering .It seems to me that the RTX is a single core.Would not a Quad Core card be faster than a single core RTX for rendering in both DAZ Studio and Poser and Vue Ifinite 2016? I'm not sure what you mean here - all modern GPUs have far more than two cores. The latest nVidia cards have multiples of several specialist cores each - RTX is one of those, used for ray-tracing (which is why it is, potentially and depending n the scene, a big help for Iray).
