An other thread just gave me an idea !!
I guess that Poser 2014 Pro should be also in Possession of Bondware !? Bondware made a testing Feature of about 1 month on Poser 11 so that newcomers could test before they buy. So it might be a good thing to release Poser 2014 as Freeware as it is in any case going to end up as Dust Catcher somewhere on a Hard drive. This Idea would most-probably motivate new users to start off with Poser and they might want to Update to have the latest versions. You would keep alive at least the older version and you do not need to support it . It would be freeware People would be able to see a close op to what Poser 11 offers. No time limmit no forcing to buy !!
Ok you might now find some excuses that it is not possible ( would not even wonder ) but why letting a good application just die if it could bring in a good purpose! as for removing the 11.2 Call home I still insist that it would be a good and better move.
Would be interesting to hear what People think about this Idea ( It is not a Provocation )
Yeah, I don't believe that for a second.
@hornet3d ... I thought of Poser 2014 as it would not be allot of work to set it up like game Dew that has the built in activation feature , normally People do not moan that much if they get such a free Application, about the ones who Paid I did to and it was worth it so I would think that there would not be any reason to moan about. If like you say Poser should have a great future at Bondware this would just give a little helping hand ( People actually like new features )
Also in the other hand it would sure get one thing away that is being shared on Clouds might make feel some a little more honest. It is buried anyway so in one hand they could not complain that it is on Clouds in the other it could be made all legal and not just tagged Red " Never to be used again "
@ EClark1894 , I also do not really believe in it, but who knows , there might be a Owner that has a strategic mind and could understand the point ! Daz has a very strategic one and it sure working out well ( they could learn a little from them ) Even if I do not really like them I can say Respect in how they get it handled , even if Poser is way more powerful they get the creators on there side.

Point taken but after the said twenty years working with Poser and either participating in or lurking in a number of Poser forums, history suggests that I am on firm ground when I suggest that there would still be complaints.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
I think Renderosity hears you loud and clear. Like DreaminGirl said, an extended license is not a perpetual license. I think it should be perpetual as well. Gate is right on some things too. Getting the top creators and inspiring new ones to create for Poser is a good idea. It would be a feather in Renderosity's cap if they could get Summoner to create for them exclusively. Like many of my favorites, He is just top notch and unlike many of my favorites, he hasn't left us for DS. I look forward to the day when I click on "New Poser Products and I see only New Poser Products, and not start my day off by seeing four ads for DAZ Stuff (That looks pretty good by the way). Hornet, that is a good reminder. I've heard of Poser's demise and seen a thread at SM I think that asked if Poser is a dead product. It's still here, alive and well and with a new edition due to come out probably next year.
Gate, thanks for taking my defense of Jill and Boni and the rest of the Renderosity staff the right way. It's our right to complain, it's good to make suggestions but it shouldn't be personal or sound personal. It's also best to stay positive. Being positive is literally good for you and it's contagious.
While I disagree with a lot of things said, I'd dearly and passionately love if the 'New Home for Poser' sign would finally bloody go up on the Rendo site. I mean, how would people even know? And spot on about the DAZ-centric ads (yes I get that those vendors pay more for it, but can a POSER page not have ads for products they cannot use, please? )
I got all the emails and notifications and my computer with Poser on it was always connected to the 'net because I don't have the privilege of multiple computers, so the activation issue was not an issue for me. I also am a strict user, not a creator--I suspect a great majority of silent Poser users fall into this category--we lurk, and we sometimes are taken aback at the vehemence and arguments on these forums. All we want is a working Poser with a site/owner that cares, is responsive/communicative and provides the support and content artists need to create. As Renderosity had Poser for four months only, I am eager to see where this journey goes and am willing to cut quite a lot of slack based on how it went up till now. Let's trust that this team listens, and let's assume we're not all-knowing about what's going on behind the scenes and that there is positive intent here. Assuming positive intent is a key to a happier life, anyway. :)
"It would be a feather in Renderosity's cap if they could get Summoner to create for them exclusively. Like many of my favorites, He is just top notch and unlike many of my favorites, he hasn't left us for DS"
Question be if he be a'willin' to pay de $10 for de name change so we all know it be under Summoner stead of Gate.
@ quietrob & sloan
would be a really baad idea having me here , Big time trouble maker so better leave me where I am , And Bondware can't for sure use more Drama. I just do my thing as loong as I am convinced it is the right one. It actually does not matter from where the motivation would come that Poser can offer great things and I as a Artist would just be a Drop on a Hot Stone .
I am sure still convinced about Poser ( Not about the owners, or not jet ) and this is the main reason why I am shouting out loud , I do not have bad intentions as I just want to use it and really hope that others also will in the future. And yes there were many great Artists and Creators that changed sides ( A Huge list ) well easy to find , just scroll the Daz Creators LOL . It already would be a big step to just having them making Models compatible in both way's , but as I said there has to be made some sacrifice to get at this Point.

He would also have to stop ripping game models and calling them "fan art" so the game folks wouldn't shut down Rendo over copyright violations.
@Glitterati3D exactly there it already starts again so better keep me faar away from here , and oh I could also be your worst Nightmare a real bad ass Pirate LOL who knows! so better watch your store Items .... see Glitterati your way is not very Productive if one is trying to give some suggestions to make something better . But I will for now ignore your frustration no being the middle Point .
You might have to bring some Productive Ideas and not just think that La Femme will save Poser or that you might be the Messiah on the round table to bring some light into it! And if it were as easy as you say , anyone would do and there would not be any need of a store like Rendo . If you want a challenge well here I am ... but as I said before the point is actually "not me" but how it could be done better for you as you depend more then I do on Poser .
And stopp Licking Ass this will not bring any good results
@Glitterati3D But now that you are here I naturally wonder that you think ( In a Rhetoric Way ) about the proposals made , you might have some same Opinions and if not you might be able to give a Productive argument and a great solution to make Poser really big .. Lets assume for a moment that you are the owner of Poser , what would you do ?

@Rhia Please continue to help us. Don't let something negative stop you from doing something positive.
@Glitterati3D Your help is always welcome.
@Gate You make incredible models. There is one I want to purchase but you never answered your site mail. I am gone from this thread. The thread is yours.
Well no answer is also an answer ! anyway ....
I guess that the only thing that can be done is to wait and Hope. Poser 11.1 seemed to work stable and now allot of new issues appear , if new or old does not really matter important that it is getting handled , as from my side like I said I hang on the Older version until a fair Licencing method will be released , It does not affect the modeling at all. people seem to be used to, to be controlled all the time , it is there choice to let it happen ( But sure will not be mine ) I Love Freedom and not really want to live in a Police State, but like said most people have to be controlled and feel better that way.
Ok I know this does not really fit into this thread " Just to lazy to create a new one " I launched a Screenshot of my Halloween project before so I can as well leave the comment in here that the Mr.Vulture has been released and might get free Public on Halloween day . it was quiet a challenge to get it done especially getting the 125 bones right and smooth, a very high poly mesh 20 meg of geometry V4 has 8 meg. I almost dropped it as I am touched about this whole situation , but then , well I should not stop just because I have a different aspect then others. and I mean It really would be a Loss if Poser would loose there Users collectors as well the few Creators that are left.
I can not give you my site link as I am not allowed to .. but I'm sure you will find it if you really want! It is free if you get the Password "for now" ! I made it to support Poser in a great way and to show what Power Poser really has to offer.
Renders are made in Poser 11.2 Firefly 10 seconds No Post-work on the Images

Summoner's site is listed in the Poser Content Directory under "Online Stores", "Vendor Owned".
Thank you for mentioning my Site .... really Cool ....
I am trying to launch another few neat Freebies before Halloween ... and actually already did so besides the Vulture I got another 3 out and about to launch the forth! It did not really affect the drop down of Interests since Bondware took over Poser, so I hope things will get better again by it self , and Bondware just ain't giving a Dam about the Worries of Users ( Understandable as they Have mainly DS stuff that ensures there Income ) so who cares about the minority of Poser users ....

Just give them time to sort things out. Sit down. Count slowly to twelve (or more); and then wait a while.
It will, as we say, "all come out in the wash"....
@ A_Sunbeam
Jup well sure not easy , many mistakes , Lack of Information , loss of features this sure is a good reason to be preoccupied. But well if it ends up like "Caligari trueSpace" then all is good .... Microsoft acquires and out it is as freeware to motivate future Artists in 3D LOL.True Space is actually still a great program.

I think this might well be a good idea but Rendo might think that a time limited trial of the new Poser 11.2 might be a better way to gain new users. What I am very sure of is that people would still complain, either free is unfair on the users have paid for Pose, that they did not like the changes when they upgraded or if they can give away free copies of 2014 Pro why not Game Dev are just a few of the complaints I would expect to see but am sure when people get into the forums they will think of many more.
