PoserFusion has been discontinued - do you still have your serial number for poserfusion?

If you still have the Smith Micro download manager, you can still download the SM poserfusion

Glad you got it. Please let use know the version of Cinema 4D that you get working with Poser 11.2. C4D R17-to-19 are known to work, but it would be useful to know if PoserFusion can work with a version higher than that.

I have tested with R20 and R21 using the free INSYDIUM Bridge. On start PoserFusion asks for the license but does not accept the license number. In the location the license info is usually stored a folder with a strange name was created. So on Mac C4D R19 is the last supported version.

CHK2033 ( ) posted Thu, 07 November 2019 at 10:04 AM · edited Thu, 07 November 2019 at 10:05 AM

19 is the last supported version of any of the older C4D plugin.(R19 and lower ,Win or Mac)

quote from Greyscalegorilla

To get the R20 compatible version of your third-party plugin, you’ll need to go back to the original developer or market you purchased the plugins from. So unless someone outside of Maxon creates one, no the poser fusion version will not work on R20, R21 or any future version of C4D

By using the free INSYDIUM bridge some of the older plugins do work in R20 and R21, but not all.

That's good to know, thanks. So by the sound of it, C4D R19 is definitely the last working version on both Windows and Mac.

I have the Bondware version of poser 11.1, any chance that I can access poser fusion?

CHK2033 ( ) posted Sun, 14 June 2020 at 11:12 AM · edited Sun, 14 June 2020 at 11:19 AM

Did Poser Fusion even ship with Poser 11.1 ? Dont remember, but if it did that would have been Smith Micro's version of Poser if I'm not mistaking and not Bondware's and only the Pro version would have came with it,

Maybe on your old download page/manager/installer if thats still up and working @/from Smith Micro ?

Hi All!

Can someone explain why the Poser Fusion line was discontinued and has it been replaced by something comparable? I haven't seen notes anywhere or I simply missed them. All my Fusion keys are 'invalid' in v11.3 Thanks in advance.

I am a valid Poser Pro user (since v5) and when Poser Fusion was first introduced, I was ecstatic. No more bad, messed up ports. But now it seems we have slipped back in time porting from one 3D/CG app to the next which makes using Poser Pro not so good. Right now it seems that sticking with v11.1 (Smith Micro) or switching to another application makes more sense.

cheers!

PoserFusion was discontinued because the development team is not big enough to concentrate on that AND the upkeep / development of poser itself.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I hope that Poser will see more developers down the road. IMO, Poser is a 3D/CG pioneering application. A lot of us got our start with this, Vue, Hexagon and Bryce along with a few others. :)
