I still remember sledding down a ski mountain at night... unauthorized. now theres an trip for ya. From the base wed scramble about 250 yards up the trail in the dark (avoiding the ski patrol :), then race down using whatever we had. Something to keep in the back of your mind: when you are on skis, a green dot/easy trail looks fairly flat. Sure, theres an incline, but its negligable. But when you push off on your sled, you realize that the "flat" trail doesnt seem so flat anymore. And oh yes, another good factoid to remember; going into a complete spin at 20-or-so mph on a snowsaucer is not an ideal situation. Especially when the stairs leading down into the base lodge is coming up on you in 3...2...1... Yeah, like I speak not from experience, right? Not me... ;)
