I've been looking at methods for "grunge reduction without retexturing" recently. Lifting the gamma is one partial method. Another is the Photoshop plugin Topaz Clean 3, which sadly is not in the Topaz Black Friday sale. Actually, I'd also be interested if anyone can replicate this level and fidelity of cleaning for free, by stacking the default Photoshop filters on a 'colour flats' render from Poser 11's Comic Book Preview mode.
