Aaaaah kinda-sorta yes and no. With DQ on Poser will render the nearest object to the camera (including the ground) opaque and gradually render objects more transparent until it reaches the farthest. So, you can cheat the effect somewhat by hiding bogus objects nearer or farther from the camera.
