My starting point for PIL was attempting to use ShaderWorks' Postwork Manager script, bundled with Poser. Unfortunately, it uses PIL and thus cannot save JPG files on macOS due to reasons. Getting code to work by replacing a broken library is a lot simpler conceptually than learning how to rewrite the necessary functions in a completely different environment. Neither way is bad, but the solution I found was far easier and quicker for me, at the time. Since then, the accelerating decrepitude of Poser's current Python bundle is giving me fever dreams of what might happen next, to take the pain away ?
