Poser 11/ Superfly adds area lights which function like mesh lights. You'll get soft shadows with area lights. It's hard to describe but I'd say that depending how you use them they can look more realistic than the other Poser lights.

Thanks! Do you have any tips on how to optimize the render? I want to use Superfly for production of my comic, so I need to figure out a work flow to get the renders I need with out taking hours and hours if possible

Avoid transparency and reflection :)
