I realize you found some already, but here's a lil' "trick" I occasionally use depending upon the figure and my needs.
Either use the "Simple color" node within the math selections or find a small texture of pure white. (In theory, that texture could be a single pixel.)
Plug the node into the displacement channel for the "hand" (and "fingernail" if separate) material zone and dial it to the strength you desire.. (usually 0.125 to 0.025 is adequate. Sometimes I even apply the displacement to the arm. Or, you can plug a "noise" node into the displacement channel for a "fuzzy" glove effect.

Hey, Stranger! I never thought of changing the hand texture. I could even apply a leather texture to look more like gloves.
