The delay you are referring to may be the indexing that occurs when a library is added. The indexing will happen during startup when you run Poser after manually updating the file.
Mostly I notice a orange circle in the upper right area of the library that begins pulsing while a runtime is loading. Sometimes it will allow me to add another runtime or two while pulsing or block my efforts if there is too much content being indexed. It still puzzles me how long this indexing process takes when no content is being moved or copied -- in fact, it would take less time to make a copy of the content, often times around 50+ MB each, then for Poser to just index it. My 7200 RPM HDDs are old but still have no difficulty copying data at better than 100MB/sec sustained. Go figure.
Thanks guys for the info about mass library indexing using XML lists. I'll certainly look into that.
