It is already seeing things coming for 2.9 so looks like that will not be far off
From what I read the other day, 2.83 will be the last update for 2.8, and 2.9 will be out later this year.
I did not hear that Miss B I will have to look into that but with the speed of development this year I can easily see that being the case
