Since the Final Fantasy characters are built in Maya, and that program is not compatible with much of anything else, I seriously doubt if anything would be usable elsewhere, even if they gave it away... which I doubt. There were some nice models, but the animation was average, and the "acting" was abysmal. The storyline was worse than most video games. My take? A very long advertisement for a very expensive modeling program. QT5 is available from Apple.com and there are versions for PCs, too. The regular version (for just playing movies back) is free.
