Personally, I actually find it harder to use the Wind Force. Haven't been able to get it working right since they first put it in, so I just don't use it. Only thing I find harder to use is magnets.

I use the wind force tool in every (or almost every) cloth simulation. Gives the fabric an realistic touch.

Face room I never used and will never do it.

Magnets are awful, though there's many old school users who swear by them and scoff at the suggestion they're clunky. Never used wind force, but seems like some do.
