I'm afraid you have to use a photo editing software. I use a 3d painting app called 3dcoat and from there I send it to photoshop. This way I have everything ik the right scale because I can paint on the 3d model directly.
If you don't want to spend money, you can use blender. It does the same trick. You can also export there to say photoshop or gimp.

Okay. So I keep buying scar packages, and it's time i figured this out. I need some specific thing, by golly, and I need them now! ish. soon, anyway!
First of all. I've been playing with Daz for two years almost and I still can't figure out how to place a scar somewhere specific. I need to put scars on a character's wrists. A neat column on one side, and one more jagged on the other. Where should I best put my efforts?
And then I need to wrap another character's legs with vine-shaped scars, preferably indented. Blacklined. I figure learning one should lead me to learning how to do the other, but I must admit I'm a bit lost on where to begin. It seems opening up the skin file in a paint tool would be a headache because seams are a thing. Also, I'm not the best at freehand. Also, i don't have photoshop, I use GIMP.
There's got to be a fairly straightforward way to do this, right? Help? Please?
Thanks in advance!
