Yes, basic SuperFly “volumetric effects when GPU enabled” were added in a late Smith Micro build of Poser 11. At that point they were likely not updating the Manual too quickly. I recall that that the new SuperFly atmospherics were not ideal in terms of speed or optimisation, but it was in there at last.

If you really want heavy atmosphere in a big scene, a Poser to Vue scene transfer is trivially easy. Either Poser 11 to Vue 2016 R5, or Poser 11 to the new subscription Vue.
