I trashed it all. I am going to look at modeling it in pieces, as if I was actually building it. What software are you using besides sculptress?
IMHO the Black panther costume ,from the MCU movies, is one of the more simplistic Cinematic marvel Costume, redesigns of the Comic book version.
I see no reason why the head peice cannot be created from on single mesh with symmetry in a modern program (like Blender)
..this quick &dirty iteration was about 15 minutes.
Understood.? I create for the Reallusion CC3 figure bases whos auto riggin/weighting system is superior even to Daz studio's
thus I have knowledge of the state of posers rigging/ weighting tools, however if you made the mask a static head prop, could it not be easily worn by any poser Character with X,y,or Z scaling adjustments.??
That is essentially what I did with parts of the latest/final version of my HALO "Spartan" armor.
The arm legs and lower torso are conformers but the chest/jet pack, shoulder plate and helmet are rigid ,parented props.
If your wanting it to contour to a certain figures head, why don't you try using the morph brush in poser, and tighten/loosen with the figures face as the goal to add your contours? IMHO the morph brush has some pretty convenient/powerful tools now, that are overlooked.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

I use it a lot. But before I get to that point, I want to have a decent mesh to work on.

Make a hide ear morph for the head. That would give you a smoother look on the mask.

Decided to work on the costume first. It's a second skin, with some booties I modeled to cover the feet. I am going to create the claws to cover her finger nails, but this is pretty much done. I will move on to the helmet a bit later today. Real world has my time today...

I logged on this morning and realized that I had completely forgotten that I was doing the female Black Panther... kind of embarrassing. Oh well, The New 52 Supergirl was a kick to do. Her cape isn't exact, but I got it close.

I'm liking what I see Rokket, so keep at it.

Thanks, Miss B. I had forgotten about it until I came back in here and found my thread. Oops.
Tsk, tsk!

Dialing it back. The piping was getting a little too convoluted. I am thinking about adding more than one texture so that it looks like an authentic Marvel costume. I am just not sure how I am going to pull that one off. I tried with a couple of masks earlier, but it didn't look right.

Looking real nice. :)

The death of Chadwick Boseman has left a huge hole in the Marvel Universe. So I hear that they are scrambling to use Shuri as the next Panther. Which leads to some interesting questions, namely how are they going to costume her. With that thought in mind, I decided to see what I could do. Granted, I am just starting to get a feel for the helmet. It's not like anything I have ever modeled before. So my first attempts are pretty rough. But I modeled the Man Of Steel suit 12 times before I was finally happy with it. So the fact that I I have only done this one twice isn't putting me off.
This one was done mostly as a 'cheat'. I did a rough shell and then used Sculptris to do the rest of it, including the texture maps.
I modeled this one fully. Still not what I want, but getting there...
