try these settings for your FF render and post up your result. Then we can fix whatever else is wrong with it after that. Before I have to get into a pissing contest with another user about my settings: I used these for years. These settings are optimized to get really great results in FF and still be reasonably fast.

Very nice! It took a long time, doing what appeared to be two renders! The hair is jet black from my preview render. I blacked it. I'll have to fix it. Thanks!
