I can save scene files, but I want to save as OBP objects .

OK - this is for Bryce 7 but it's much the same for Bryce 5.

  1. Put your object in the scene, and select it.

  2. Click on the arrow (a little triangle) to the right of the "Create" option at top left of the Bryce window.

  3. The Object Presets Library and its contents will be displayed in the middle of the Bryce window.

  4. Select the category that you want to store the OBP under by selecting it from the list shown on the left side of the OBP Library pane.

  5. When you select your category, any OBPs already saved under that category will be displayed. Black squares are also shown - these are empty storage points.

  6. Click on one of the black squares to select it. Your new OBP will be placed there.

  7. Click on "Add" at the bottom left of the OBP Library pane.

  8. A box will come up for you to enter the name of the object, and optionally its description. You can over-type the default name that Bryce gives the OBP.

  9. Click on the the tickmark just below the description box when you have finished typing, and the new OBP will be stored, and will appear in the OBP Library.

To add your saved OBP to a scene, find it in the OBP Library, click on its image, and click on the tickmark.

Hope this helps.
