For my own edification, I'm posting two other examples. Here's a picture of Marvel Comics' Warbird done in the same way. The texture still needs work, but it shows that you can get realistic looking clothing this way as well. An important thing to remember is to save the new texture under a NEW name, a name different from the original, after altering it.
