That would be the best indeed. 1 PNU = 8 ft. Choosing a semi-metric middle standard (1 PNU = 2.5 m) would only add to the confusion I am afraid. I use 1PNU=8 ft for the interaction with Marvelous Designer, where patterns provided are defined in (real) cm.
