4.15 is the version you need for G8.1. There were changes done to get G8.1 to work, including a new shader mechanism. That's the sum of the advantages. Disadvantages include iRay taking up more room and problems on occasions with transparency. Displacement maps don't seem to work so strongly to me in the Uber shader.
