OSX is the way to go! Sure not everything is ported to X yet but most of the major apps will in due time. Some of Adobe already is and on my G4 450Mhz, photoshop runs very good in classic under X. Bryce already is in X and it looks like alot of the big 3d programs are heading that way. Even the folks who make Maya decided it was time to go Apple. What people have to remember is this is a new operating system, not an upgrade. Be patient with it and try to work with it. I think some people look at it and all they see is the aqua interface and think thats all Apple did with the operating system. Look deeper, look at all of the things mac users griped about in the past that the pc people had and we now do. Protective memory, multi-tasking, opengl, better network support and so on. Besides the major difference is its based off of UNIX. A very stable and open source code. Ok its not completely bug free. Anyone know of many operating systems that are? Why not develope for OSX now and not only stay with the game but in some cases be ahead of it. There are always going to be die hards that refuse to embrace anything new. There is comfort in what you are used to using even if the promise of something better is out there. I still remember people thinking OS 8 was radical and too troublesome. How funny that seems now. I dont think its a meaningless poll at all. If I were a software company I would want peoples opinion whether they agree with mine or not. Why not be open minded? Imagine That (RE)
