...and using the prefitter indeed did the trick. Beats me way it should work better than with just the fitting room, but I'll take it as it is. The fit is better, too, I think, it would just need some touch up with the morph tool in the crotch area.

I've had the same issues while trying to convert a dress originally made for Terai Yuki: the number of iterations also influences the effect on the part near the crotch while prefitting
