To illustrate, here is the Poser high-res ball at subdivision level 2 with the exact same delta (0.0, 0.01, 0.0) applied to every vertex (at morph strength 2.88). Honestly, I don't think Pixar would be selling any movies if they wrote graphics code like that. Pretty sure it's original Poser.
