The trouble is, if you switch off the hardness and then want to subdivide again, you get drift again. Also, Poser does not always seem to smooth out curves formed by hard edges correctly. I've noticed that with the irises on low-res Antonia. Using two or three edge loops close together seems to be a more robust solution.Just switch off the hardness after the subdivision...
