Subject: How to stop Poser for searching for unused texture files?

weiesnbach ( ) posted Mon, 18 April 2022 at 6:31 PM · edited Fri, 13 December 2024 at 2:25 AM

I have a pair of boots,  and I switched out the image texture files, and made some procedural textures instead.  I saved the figure in a new Runtime, but now every time it loads it tries to search for the original  JPG for the texture.  How do I get  Poser to recognize that the image file is no longer associated with this figure?

This isn't limited to this particular figure, I have had it happen before, and would like to know how to fix it on not only this file, but on future files that have the same problem.

Thanks in advance.

I feel your pain, I have this issue with nearly every scene I load...

Y'all have a great day.

IIRC, I managed to beat a pesky bunch of superseded but persistent textures by deleting the now-orphaned nodes that had called them.

Probably means I'd done something clumsy during material editing...

...sure enough there was image node way down  below the main material.  Deleted it, resaved, problem solved.

Thanks.
