Anyway, from a personal perspective I wish the teeth were separate from the gums (much prefer separate teeth and nails) strictly for extreme morphing and scaling... but there's workaround methods... just a bit more tedious and tricky, especially with uv seams, stretching, and 3d painting workflow. Might be something to consider?

The fact that the mesh is "watertight" is fantastic, for generally the reason you stated. That aspect is something that should be standardized with Poser figures really.
