Every now and then if I download a Poser 12 installer it appears to download but something "catches" at the end. It ends up getting saved on my desktop as a generic file, instead of having the Poser 12 (or whatever) icon on it. If I try to install it, I get an installation error.

What I usually do in that case is download it again to the same location. The second time around, the download completes and then I get the correct Poser installer icon. Then it installs fine.

Perhaps that might be your problem?

That sounds like an incomplete download

Right it is. And it happens at the very last minute. The second download is always complete.
