There was a brief and torrid relationship between Kara Zor El and Kris sometime in the mid 1970's (the plot line for Super Girl( Woman); Infinite Crisis, Enduring Catharsis takes place during an alternate timeline on Earth K 110, an equivalent to Earth 1's 1970s.)... little is known about this secret and bittersweet summer heat soiree as Kris was married to the singer Rita Coolidge at the time.

It's in that issue, taking place primarily in the haunted swamps of Louisiana, that the shadowy Kris is vaguely hinted at, leading to wild speculations by riveted readers. Time has revealed some of these suspicions to be true.
