I think that the SSS is always enabled (given it's active in the render parameters)


 and the part you may control is how deep it goes, through each Scatter nodes (above is for Firefly and below for Superfly)
You may remark that my settings are for Superfly


I don't know Kururu but it looks pretty much like an Aiko3 or an Aiko19

That's just it.  The Use_Material_Color is unchecked.  According to the Poser manual, you must check the tick box if you want to use the Material preset.  Unfortunately, the Scale doesn't behave as I expect it to, at least.  When I increase that value, I do not notice an increase in translucency, only by decreasing the value do I see a difference.  When I get time to experiment with it closely, I'll determine if it is actually broken.  The PrincipledBsdf SSS Scaling does increase the translucent behavior as it should.$

For me, it's 10pm and I feel the tiredness lol, so that I may have to re-read your explanation and see if I can find where to interfere in EZSkni's code and correct this,
