Regarding the panties: I used auto-grouping, which in this case was probably not necessary, but it means that I have to let Poser export the mesh, and it seems to always insist on cutting it up into body parts.

Yeah, and MD doesn't do symmetric, so there's that.

I'm messing with the weights on the thigh spread stuff, very light subtracts with adds to restore the edging piping (?) Shapes a bit after the subtracts. Trying to get the crotch to not stretch quite as much when the thighs are spread and stay more in place. It's tricky with edging details but I seem to be having some luck with it with very low magnitude passes back and forth. I can make this work more than expected I think, if I play around with it a bit, and save myself a bit of morphing fixes. At least more than I thought. This is totally workable for my needs odf.
