DAZ was almost impenetrable to my tiny mind, but I picked up Poser first so it was way more logical to me.

Not to say I didn't get things done with DAZ and I found their offerings for characters/objects to lean towards what I wanted to do.

Both of course are tools. The first one to hand is usually what you always reach for.

The edge is at the higher end of use when you find the limitations that cause you to abandon or add to your toolchest to work around that.
