The base walk designer can be applied to any figure that resembles a normal human bi-ped.  Then you can add in the extra figure dependent additions.  Such as sneak, hip sway etc. but those are more dependent on the figure for which they were made.  Not to say you can't use on another figure it is just that the results may not be as good as with the correct figure.
