Unfortunately Poser had a name being used just for pin ups in the past, not that I am against pin ups it is just there needs to be variety. It was one of the aspects I tried to break away from even in my early days of Poser, I wanted an hero for my renders/stories and the norm was for that hero to be of big build, statuesque even, and normally male. Females in the poser world were more often or not models and the like. So my main character is female, petite compared with the norm for female Poser figures and in her early thirties, much older again than the norm. Having a fighting woman going into battle showing more skin that outfit is hardly believable so I do tend to spend my time kit bashing outfits so I can cover as much of the body as possible. My first attempt at the character was probably twelve years ago and based on V4. For the last few years the character has been based on Dawn SE but has all the main attributes of my original V4 character.Rhia474 posted at 6:57 AM Fri, 21 April 2023 - #4462936
I've noticed that trend in Poser products and artwork: the over-sexualization of women. Much as I enjoy seeing these outfits, many of them are not what most women would want to wear. I don't know if we're as bad as the comic books or acually worse.Unfilteted opinion on the dress: I personally, as a female, think it really could use more coverage. We have way too much skimpywear as it is. Can at least the nipples not be hanging out please?
[sigh] And I would argue, at my age, that I am probably as much a part of the problem as younger people are..
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
