The dynamic hair growth groups just use the existing polygons on the skull cap. Depending on what figure you're working on, there may be a higher polygon skull cap available for that figure.
That must be the case though I am using Mike, he must be quite elaborate. I had to subdue to the fact that in some places the edge has these square teeth.
